Sabbath Keeping

"Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee."
"Be careful of the words you say,
Keep them short and sweet,
You never know, from day to day,
Which ones you'll have to eat."
~ unknown ~
"Duty is the sublimest word in our language.
Do your duty in all things.
You cannot do more.
You should never wish to do less."
"Good words are worth much and cost little."
"The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words,
when one will do."
"One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart
that you can't utter."

"The six most important words: I admit I made a mistake.
The five most important words: You did a good job.
The four most important words: What is your opinion?
The three most important words: If you please.
The two most important words: Thank you.
The one least important word: I"

"A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.
I say it just
Begins to live
That day."
"Words may show a man's wit, but actions his meaning."

"Watch your thoughts, they become your words
Watch your words, they become your actions
Watch your actions, they become your habits
Watch your habits, they become your character
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny."
~ Anonymous ~

"Half the word is composed of people who have something to say and can't, and the other half who have nothing to say and keep on saying it." ~ Robert Frost
"Among my most prized possessions are words that I have never spoken."
~ Orson Rega Card ~
"When you have spoken the word, it reigns over you.
When it is unspoken you reign over it."
~ Arabian proverb ~

"But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless words they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." ~ Jesus Christ

  2. Hello Sandra:
A most thought provoking set of quotations here, dear Sandra, and all on the theme of words, something which can so often be used without thinking and yet have untold powers for good or ill.

In Life's greatest moments of happiness or sadness, words often fail or seem inadequate. But, when at such a distance, words are all we have to let you know that we care. And care we do!!
