I have a stack of books to be read and hope maybe I can get to them before summer is over. I love books; I'm a book collector!

I'm currently reading "Praying for Your Future Husband." My 7-year-old saw me reading it yesterday and said, "Mom, why are you reading that book when you already have a husband?" I had to laugh. I'm reading it to review on my blog! It's a good one, and one I plan on keeping for my daughter to read when she's at the appropriate age!

Oh, and thank you for the honey tip you left on my blog last week. I actually do buy local honey because I had read several years ago about the benefits of buying local honey for people with allergies!Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01520682388731742925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13163430.post-89196671640784498592011-06-09T04:33:45.229-04:002011-06-09T04:33:45.229-04:00I love reading too..:o)

I am going to lost some books I have recently discovered soon, and was able to obtain them for less than $2.00, but they are keepers for re-reading. Love this list. I had written Penny, my resident library lady, to bring me home some of her books. She sadly told me, they had been purged from the library. No doubt to be replaced with some modern trash. Not the library's fault, supply/demand even there. I have no books on the list at the moment except the MaryJane Butter's books. I am looking for Janice Holt Giles also, hope they haven't been purged! In your list here, which is so broadly catholic, there is surely something to interest everyone.

We do so agree about the need to encourage young children not only to read, but to read as widely as possible.

Your giveaway sounds great fun and we are sure you will understand when we ask you not to include our names in the draw. The Hungarian post is totally unreliable and postage would be very high.Jane and Lance Hattatthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16831890261259302647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13163430.post-59379961974459828112011-06-08T12:21:25.860-04:002011-06-08T12:21:25.860-04:00My, my, what an eclectic group and ambitios amount...My, my, what an eclectic group and ambitios amount of books on your summer list!

I will echo your Potatoe Peel Pie Society comments: listened to the astounding (library) audio book. The different voices and accents added such depth to the characters. A delightful listen. I mourned leaving so many new friends at book's end.

And the read aloud give-away? I'm drooling. We read-aloud as a family regularly. A wonderful experience from homeschooling that we have continued even after homeschooling.

Many happy adventures through history this summer, Sandra.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14094197945284879330noreply@blogger.com
