My favorite . . . what are your "best delight" moments?
Thinking of you and caring . . .
This is a beautiful compilation. I am saving it. Thanks for sharing from the hard place you are in. I pray for some surprises for you this week, to lighten the load.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda
I too, love the Khalil Gibran quote, it reminds me of the Book of Solomon, but maybe if it had been written after the loss of the beloved . I am also going to keep this compilation of quotes tucked away, thank-you Sandra. I am also praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI am really liking the Evan Esar quote. It tells me we must make the most of what we have now, even while most fondly remembering what we had. And the gentle reminder of mourning and rejoicing by John Taylor ~ oh that's good!
ReplyDeleteRemembering you in prayer, my friend. You amaze me! :~}
Visiting you today dear Sandra via the Internet - even if it is across many miles and we've never met face to face.
ReplyDeleteI was actually thinking about you in church this morning!
May the Lord be your strength and shield and your constant Comforter.
Wish we could sit a spell and have a cuppa coffee.
All of them, Lynne, all of them.
ReplyDeleteYour prayers are welcome, appreciated and greatly needed, Glenda. These past few weeks have been terrible in their intensity.
Kathy, as I told Glenda, these past few weeks have been horrible in their intensity so your prayers are welcome, appreciated and greatly needed.
Lady Farmer, these quotes spoke to my soul and if you could see me curled into a tight ball, on the kitchen floor, sobbing my heart out, I'm sure your amazement would be of a different sort. I am struggling mightily.
Thank you Diane, please, as God brings me to mind, continue praying for me.
Pls add me to your prayers... I am so lost, so devastated and the quote from Edna Vincent Millay so apt. Today would have been our 52nd Anniv. and last night I fell into the"hole" of sobbing and missing my hubby so much. There is no comfort for us nor a dulling of the senses, just a step forward every day and a scary path to walk alone....♥ Even when we know God is there.
ReplyDeleteI have not caught up with your blog for ages! about time
ReplyDeleteI love your Sunday posts...
ReplyDeleteHallo, dear Thistle, when I read these wonderful sentences and the sentence of Exupery, I remember a certain happening, I want to tell you here and now.
ReplyDelete:
When my father died (now 10 years ago) my mother was really very very sad and crying all the time. After 8 or 14 days she suddenly found on the top of his desk a small, handwritten paper, written with his hand. There were the following words: "People, who are no more here, are more here, as if they were here."
Greetings from Dori
Tears fill my eyes for you & precious Kerrie, Sandra. The passages say it so poignantly.
ReplyDeletePrayers lifting for you ladies ... may you be lifted from sorrow, tho your love shall never wane.
Have a great eve ~
TTFN ~
Hugs & love,
Marydon
