2012 Election

VOTE!

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and
to seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good,"
but that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost spiritual equilibrium
and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor
and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness
and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn
and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists
and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children
and called it building self esteem.
We have abused power
and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions
and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography
and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers
and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today;
cleanse us from sin and set us free.
Amen."

  12. I loved this post. I know I prayed more than I ever have during this past election. The Lord moves in mysterious ways. Sigh.

  13. While we didn't prevail, it was close as we knew it would be. More hard work ahead for those of us on the opposite side of victory this time.
The Republican needs younger people with vigor and enthusiasm, like Marco Rubio. I will now ask our Father to guide the misguided. Love to you, Sandra...

  14. The work ahead of us now is to pray for faith to trust God no matter the nation's circumstances, and grace.

  15. Dear One, I am still stunned at the outcome of the election. Dazed. Eventually it will soak in. Grieving isn't the right word, but close enough.

With praying in mind, I will continue to lift up our country and the people in it. Revival needed. An awakening.

    God bless and pray on,
    d
