Thistle Cove Farm Video

Hi all...while I cannot download this from home (bandwidth "issues"...remember), if you're able, please click here and let me know what you think...pretty please! Gina, Whispering Cove Farm, has done a marvelous job!

Your advice, comments, suggestions are gratefully welcome; wanted to add the video is ten minutes...an eternity in youtubeland...and is also used as a memento for me (when transfered to cd). I told Gina, "It's so beautiful, I don't want to sell!" -lam- The sales price is listed on on this site and it's possible this video won't be shortened as I simply don't have the expertise and Gina is busy trying to sell her home here

Still, thank you for your kind suggestions; just wish I were smarter or, better yet, wish Dave was alive so he could help -lol-.

Blessings ~ Gina ~ youtube ~ video ~ photos ~

  1. I'm from Australia so was interested to see your video.. I enjoyed watching it but think it's a bit long if you want it to be a promotional tool for a sale.

    The place looks beautiful.

  4. Love the vid, Sandra. It is a bit long for strictly real estate use, perhaps an edited version could be made? Also, I had a hard time finding anywhere that listed your asking price for the farm. Maybe that info could be added to the southwestva blogsite you have hosting all the photos?

  5. It's a lovely video...I did get a bit of a wiggly line on the barn, not sure about that. I agree that it's a little long if this is an ad for a sale. I'd love to be able to see it in person, if I were buying, so it serves its purpose for sure.

  6. The photos are beautiful. I think as a sales too it would be nice if they were ordered more as a tour with some narration. I also think that for the RE audience that it needs to be between 2and 3 minutes. As a memento it's beautiful!

  7. in my dreams, this would have been the perfect place for me...so beautiful. I wish when we moved from Illinois to Wisconsin 25 years ago, we would have looked at a small farm. Coming from Chicago, it seemed a bit daunting. Now I see the beauty and the work it would have entailed. The video is nice, but, I agree too long. For the serious buyer, stills and descriptions would probably be better. The list of features at the end goes by quickly. My husband and I are thinking about downsizing in the next few years. I study floor plans and room sizes...maybe others are looking for that information too. As spring approaches, I hope interest in your beautiful place picks up, I know you are ready to move on. Prayers continue as I leave this comment.

  8. I think it is beautiful! I would love to move but that will not happen! I think this will really help sell the beauty of you home and property! She did a great job!

  9. What a gorgeous place! Wish I wanted to live in Virginia. The video is professional. Just a note, shouldn't there be a place to contact someone about the sale? I would also put in big letters FOR SALE. Maybe I'm tired but I didn't see any place that provided contact info.
Have a lovely day my friend and good luck! Prayers from me. ~:)

  10. I felt like I should come back and say one more thing...since you asked. (0:
I have spent several hours on the web each week looking at properties for my husband and I. So I went back to your post about your beautiful home. I enjoyed reading all the descriptions and looking at the pictures. The only thing I would like to see, as a potential buyer, is a floor plan...I like to picture how the rooms flow, etc. OK, now I need to get busy...it is finally warmer here... Above freezing. And our garage is full of sand and salt from the roads. A good task to tackle today!

  11. I would buy it in a heartbeat, if I could! How much are you asking?

  12. Such a beautiful property! If I were 30 years younger....
I didn't mind the length. I did have a problem with the text rolling along too fast to read.
I wish and hope and pray that your lovely home sells soon for you. The timing is in His hands.

  13. Wow, Sandra - so well done. What do you want to know? Ten minutes didn't seem too long; certainly not for someone in the market for such a place. Very thorough. Beautifully filmed and what a place! Of all the amazing details about it, the one which got me to most was the blown glass windows - never heard of them! wow

Surely it shouldn't be hard to sell such a place. Like Lindah said, the text went along a little too fast to absorb, but I just stopped it now and then.

    All the best to you!

  14. Wonderful to get such a look at your beautiful property, Sandra. Oh if only I was 40 years younger and lived in the United States - it really is my dream farm. I've only seen your horses in the distance so it was wonderful to see just how stunning they are. Your house is really lovely, as I knew it would be, a joy to see. For me, the text at the end ran a bit too rapidly so that I could read it but not take it in enough. The facts and history are fascinating. I know why you don't want to leave but also understand why you must. I don't want to see you go through another winter like this one has been. Blessings, Carol

  17. Dear Sandra, The video was incredible! Your home and farm is so much more than I ever envisioned and I know if someone watches that, you will have a bidding war. Every detail is perfect. Will you be moving, once it sells and it will, to Thistle Cove Cottage or someplace else? I will be in prayer over the perfect timing in every detail-from buyer to your finding your next place. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and farm with us!!!!
    Hugs and prayers,
    Noreen

  18. Sandra, if I was in the market for a big property (relatively speaking, from my little hectare) I would be happy to have the long video...better than squinting at 4 or 5 pictures and trying to imagine the rest!
Whenever I look at pictures (or now, video) or your lovely home, I can't help thinking about bringing my gang down there and moving into one of your outbuildings. Then I remember that you have the same kind of winters I do. Oh well.
Good luck with the sale - my suggestion is to spend many hours planting a phenomenal garden this Spring. A garden that you really wouldn't want to leave. I'll bet you a nickel that will bring a buyer ;)

  19. The video is lovely. Maybe a little long. I had to keep stopping it and going back to the scrolling text so I could read and fully comprehend what it was saying. Such a wonderful spot you are located in with so much history. I would think that alone would be enough to sell. The area is so beautiful when it is green and must be such a joy despite the hardship of winter. Wishing you all the best whatever may come. Tammy

  20. What a beautiful property! You and your beloved created a wonderful home. I can see why you are not eager to sell. So much history, both "ancient" and personal. I have prayed that the perfect owners find this.
