slow to anger and rich in love."

If you want to be happy, practice compassion."

"The dew of compassion is a tear."

"Without suffering,
there would be no compassion."

"That's the difference between pity and compassion:
Pity just feels sorry!
Compassion does something about it."

lives change."

Treat people the way God treats you."

"Use your voice for kindness,
your ears for compassion,
your hands for charity,
your mind for truth,
your heart for love."

forgiving each other
just as God forgave you."

  1. Thank you for finding these beautiful and inspiring words to share with us. Happy Christmas! xx

  2. My post this afternoon is about the grands going to the nursing home! Your idea❤️

  3. John and I often share conversations re compassion. These are wonderful quotes you have shared here and very timely in these difficult days. I know so many who are battling tremendous burdens...we should all be more understanding toward one another.
God bless you this Christmas. xo

  4. Although I've complained about my job for years, I know it's God's way of exposing me to people and I've begun to realize what a blessing it is to have little interactions with customers. Someone with a frowning face can be cajoled into a smile with a few friendly words. Small chances to change their outlook...and mine. Love these quotes!

I'm proud of Pom Pom and the girls for being the hands and feet of Jesus at the nursing home. Good idea you had, Sandra! :)

  5. Lovely post, I hope you have a wonderful last week before Christmas.
    Bless You, and hugs!

  6. Always find something to think about in your quotation posts, Sandra.
And just an FYI: both the Dalai Lama and the Pope often post on twitter ;)

  7. What a precious gift in this holy time ! Thank you, Sandra, sister in Christ! Have a blessed Christmas, you dear!

  8. Once again . . .
Your words ring with goodness and truth . . .
    Compassion, Kindness, Touch, Smile . . .
Going beyond self to and for another . . .
Thank you for the reflection . . .

  9. Love the sign Sandra. Thank you for sharing another wonderful post of quotes and verses. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas filled with many blessings and a wonderful new year ahead. Joy to you always. xo

  10. I love the Use your voice quote. I copied it. It would make a wonderful embroidery. I love all the quotes you find. It makes me a better person reading them and trying to put some of them into action. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Love to you. LJ

  11. It has been a very challenging end of the year for me....compassion is something near and dear to me. ...and yet my heart can be filled with Thanksgiving. " for unto us this day is born a Savior" Hallelujah! Merry Christmas, Sandra
