Tomorrow we vote for President and Vice President of the USA. It is a privilege and duty to vote, one not taken lightly. However, this election is about more than the next four years; it's about the next three or four decades. The President we elect now will determine, in large measure, the sitting justices of the Supreme Court for, possibly, the next four decades! Do not think your vote does not matter; it matters tremendously...if not here then, when each of us, on Judgement Day, stand before God and account for every word, thought, deed, vote.
Your vote matters to God, vote wisely, knowing He holds you accountable.
"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil:
God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak, is to speak.
Not to act, is to act."
~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer,
Nazi's killed this pastor for his faith ~
"Every two years the American politics industry fills the airwaves with the most virulent, scurrilous, wall-to-wall character assassination of nearly every political practitioner in the country and then declares itself puzzled that America has lost trust in its politicians." ~ Charles Krauthammer ~
"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." ~ John Quincy Adams ~
"The future lies with those wise political leaders who realize that the great public is interested more in government than in politics." ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt ~
"Politics is the art of choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable."
~ John Kenneth Galbraith ~
"The very essence of a free government consists in considering offices as public trusts, bestowed for the good of the country, and not for the benefit of an individual or a part." ~ John C. Calhoun ~
"Politicians say they're beefing up our economy. Most don't know beef from pork."
~ Harold D. Lowman ~
"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors." ~ Plato ~
"Those who stand for nothing fall for anything." ~ Alexander Hamilton ~
"Those who stay away from the election think that one vote will do no good: 'Tis but one step more to think one vote will do no harm."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~
Ponder this ~ to vote party, and not person, is to vote foolishly, not wisely. ~

Voted early on a paper ballot. At least there is a record of my votes now. Prayers that this election is not fraught with fraud.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes, Sandra! I especially like the ones by Charles Krauthammer and Ralph Waldo Emerson. I voted early. I have a lot of hope that our country can go in the right direction for a change.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes. We are dropping off our ballots today.
ReplyDeleteI have chosen to VOTE tomorrow, on Election Day. Even if I have to stand in line all day. You already know how I feel.
ReplyDeleteI am asking the Lord to allow Washington DC to return to the days of honest political mix! Big Problem. We need DC to work for the benefit of America, and this hasn't happened for awhile. The corruption of $$$ is now ruling America, and the prospect of One World Global Order is not setting well with me. If we continue to allow illegals into our country, from anywhere, we will soon be outnumbered and, therefore, completely different than we are now. This requires prayer.
Thank you, Sandra. Bravo !!!
I'll be an election judge tomorrow and I'll vote tomorrow. On a paper ballot in rural America!
ReplyDeleteMay our Lord have mercy on our country! More than ever before, I pray God's people get out and vote. It is scary to think about the outcome, if the wrong person is chosen.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Noreen
I already voted. God bless us- I hope we can bring some GOD back into what is becoming a GODless country and I think there is only one choice to make that happen. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDear Sandra, here in Europe we look day by day since months with eye, ear and heart to you country. Your face is also our face. God bless this globe!

ReplyDeleteWell you know I'm voting and who I'm voting for, because I believe it's the only moral choice. Funny how we both believe the same thing with different outcomes.
May the best person to fill the position.. win.
We voted early too...the only ones there. I'm going to re read this post. Praying for our country today.
ReplyDeleteWe voted my mail! Great post....
ReplyDeleteVoted. We'll know in a few hours. God help us; we need it.
