You may have figured out by now, I'm so conservative I make Genghis Khan look liberal.  I support the USA military by word, thought and deed and have several family members serving in harm's way in various place in the world. I well and truly believe we live free in the USA because big men do dark deeds behind the scenes; God bless them all.

  2. As the child of a career soldier, who was himself the child of a career soldier, I thank you for this post this morning! I am who I am because of my life growing up as an Army Brat, and I identify with each one of these sayings. I'm going to forward this to friends who can also use a profound laugh this morning.

  12. o.k. let me stick my reformed liberal foot in here. I am a "child of the 60's" as my daughter loves to remind me.

however the older I get the less liberal I get. mmmmmmmmmmm? I have become tired of the let those who aren't here have while those who are here have not.

I will admit that I am still not comfortable with allot of out and out hate. I feel hate is a waste of emotion. That the same end can be accomplished by other means.

My latest way of other means is "if you don't get it when you do wrong one hand gone, if you still don't get it the other gone. If you are totally stone deaf to it lob off the head piece."

there is allot to be said for maturity.-

  13. I found your blog via Fraker Farm. I just read all the bumper stickers and had a smug laugh. My father served in the Air Force. My father-in-law served in the Navy as did his son, my husband. My oldest is active duty Army and the youngest is in the Army Reserves. We are always thrilled when we hear that someone else supports all their efforts. God bless you and God Bless America!

  14. I really loved the bumper stickers and thanks for putting them up!

My husband is now retired from the Navy Seabees. My uncle is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Air Force. My grandfather served in the Navy. In other words I currently have, or have had family in every branch of service at one time or another.

I am extremely proud of each one of them and anyone else who is, or has been willing to sacrifice so much for our country.

I don't mean to go on...I've just grown a bit tired lately of the whole politically correct thing, PLEEEEASE. Ha!

I also loved "The Green Thing." My goodness how true that was!

Yes, I confess, I've simply been dreaming of the past.
