Gift Package, Good Stuff, Fun Stuff

Is anyone else having a wee bit of trouble with Blogger? Every time I want to load a photo I get a Security Message saying "Information from this secure page will be submitted to a page that is not secure on www.blogger.com. Submitting sensitive information is strongly discouraged."

So, I'm sufficiently frightened enough not to have photos on this post! Does anyone know what's going on or what I should do?

Bless you for asking...and you know who "you" are -smile-...I am physically well but overwhelmed with the learning curve presented to me upon Dave's death. There are so many areas I have to cover and a lot of those areas are brand new to me...such as finances. I am reading as much as possible about investing, speaking to a lot of people and trying to familiarize myself with the possibilities. I would at least like to ask intelligent questions of the professionals I approach and, additionally, would like to know when they might be leading me down a path that's more advantageous to them than to I. Tending to all the paperwork is a forty-hour a week job and then there's the farm work, tending to the animals, etc. I don't mean to complain, just want you to know why I'm seldom seen. Even so, when I think of you, you're tucked into prayer!

The Thankful Follower's gift package will be sent to Quinn, number thirty-three; she responded within the twenty-four hour limit.

Some things, perhaps, of interest to you...

Kate Smith singing God Bless America. Irvin Berlin had written it two decades earlier but had never recorded it. It's a fabulous story and if you've never heard Kate Smith, you're in for a treat. She had a fabulous voice and personality!

The Candy Man; if you're in favor of Big Government there's a good chance you won't find this funny. I was rolling on the floor, laughing myself silly but that was before I realized just how true the whole song is and that sobered me up...quick plenty!

Dog, Cat, Rat. My SIL always thought it strange that the six dogs and three cats got along so well in our household. Dave and I always thought it strange she thought it strange. If the animals don't get along together...guess who is at fault!

Harmonica in Carnegie Hall - fabulous!

"April 15 - filed my taxes and sent them in....

They sent my Tax Return back..........In response to the question:
"List all dependents?" I replied -

~12 million illegal immigrants;
~3 million crack heads;
~42 million "unemployable" people on food stamps,
~2 million people in over 243 prisons;
~Half of Mexico and
~535 fools in the U.S. House and Senate.”
 Apparently, this was NOT an acceptable answer but I believe it's correct."

Blessings ~ laughter ~ animals ~ followers ~ music ~ song ~ Kate Smith ~ learning curves ~

  3. Glad all is well with you, my friend!
    I am continually having problems with Blogger. It seems to be most prevailant when they are working on something new ~ this time I suspect it is their discontinuing of Google Friend Connect for non-Blogger bloggers!
    Now I will try to visit your links ~ they sound quite intriguing!
    And it is so kind of you to say a little prayer for US! I, too, am thankful upon my every rememberance of you!

  6. Hey Sandra, don't have a clue about your picture problem but I don't think it's a virus or anything - just blogger making some changes - I read something about a similar situation on another blog but can't remember what the solution was - heck I don't remember what I ate for lunch today LOL As Michelle commented, I download mine on my computer and then upload them from there and have had no problems. Hugs!

  7. I use Opera and haven't had any problems thus far -- but it's early in the day!

    Love the tax return entries -- I'm too much of a weinee to do this. :)

  8. Glad to see you posting again. Sorry to hear about the problems with uploading pictures. That must be so frustrating for you.

    I agree that the whole financial planning thing is confusing and overwhelming. We are fortunate to have a great financial planner with a great staff. They are able to break things down so that we can understand and make somewhat educated choices. Hope you find someone who can help you with those decisions.

    You are in my prayers.

  12. No problems at all with blogger - oh that's right I am NOT blogging at all either - so no help there! What a hoot - can't keep a good woman down - glad you are doing well physically and the rest of it - I keep reminding myself - good steward and He will provide - weird 'cause at one time I had a NASDAQ license and was almost done with certifying as a financial planner! all that has gone out my mental window now!

  13. Sandra, I have not had one problem since I switched to Google Chrome last year :) Since Google owns both Blogger and Chrome, it makes sense they word well together!
    It is easy peasy to switch to!
    Here is the link-

    If you need any help-email me!

    Our pups and kittys get along great too! Dogs and cats sleep together, play together, and sometimes have little spats between themselves.
    Just like children do! That is normal..just like the family they are :)

    Love to you, big, warm hugs to you,
    smooches to all the critters!
    And blessings to you and your little family!

  14. Blogger was really acting weird for me yesterday.

    You asked about the mouthwash - it's a little lemony bitter but not too bad.

    I also switched to Google Chrome and eliminated many blogger problems.

    John and I both got the new pillow and are pleased. We liked the fact that you can try it out for 60 days...figured if it works, it's worth the cost, since we were "eating" Tylenol Arthritis!

    God bless you dear friend.

    I was having lots of blogger troubles several months ago- so I did 2 things--- I switched to Firefox and upgraded to the new blogger interface--- no issues since then.

    I'm always thinking of you-/

  18. Whether or not the IRS appreciated your sense of humor regarding "List all dependents" or not, I thought it was fabulous. Maybe, if we all start claiming the same they'll get the idea. Nah, I don't it. This would mean they have some brains.

  19. You know Sandra, I have to tell you that when the sun sets at Cape May ( er West Cape May), NJ, there was a recording of Kate Smith singing God Bless America....for many years. Not sure if they still do it but what a neat tradition!
    You are sounding a wee bit better and for that we are all very thankful...keeping you and yours in our prayers!

  20. You make me laugh, Sandra. What is up with the IRS.
