Sabbath Keeping

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, The Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you."

"Time is your most precious gift, because you only have a set amount of it." ~ Rick Warren ~

"Serve God by doing common actions in a heavenly spirit, and then, if your daily calling only leaves you cracks and crevices of time, fill them up with holy service." ~ Charles Spurgeon ~

"Be careful to make a good improvement of precious time."
~ David Brainerd ~

"Rick Grubbs, Redeeming the Time, recommends asking two simple questions when thinking about committing your time to any activity.
1. What will be the result of this activity in five years?
2. What will be the result of this activity in eternity?"

"Time is the passing of life."

"Redeem the time because the days are evil."

  2. Time is more precious to me than money. I can earn more money. Time is a gift from G*d.

Of course having lost everything, married to an alcoholic, more lessons arrived. The alcoholic is as cared for by G*d as I am. Finally realized, more than a decade of trying to pray & hope my way to balance with the alcoholic that I had to give my hope for him to G*d. I didn't lose hope but it became too much to carry. And G*d, aside from providing well for the alcoholic, gave me peace and joy in each day.

Off topic, I think my neighbor sold their dairy cattle. They stopped producing milk last year when costs were greater than sales. Very sad, a 3rd generation dairy farm. Gone. And, you know I adored their cows.
