"Honor your father and your mother."
~ Exodus 20: 2-17 ~
"It is through consecration
that drudgery is made divine."
~ author unknown ~
"We carry our mothers inside us,
their voices, their habits surprise us,
slipping out suddenly,
after we're opened to life's pain.
When we've discovered that we are the sum of their stories,
that we must love their defeats as we do their victories.
Triumph and tragedy, mothers and daughters,
they beget each other like Russian dolls -
forever enclosing and being enclosed."
~ "Russian Dolls", author unknown ~
"We need to quit struggling and start snuggling."
~ Corrie Ten Boom ~
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Honor your father and mother,
for this is the first commandment with promise."
~ Ephesians 6:1-2 ~

This is such a refreshing place.nthank you. Very long emotional needed day. Seeing my mom very hard, grandkids very confused and maybe a touch scared and sad. Bruce is a 100% caregiver. And we both can find gratitude... I need to close my eyes! Hope you had a good day...

ReplyDelete~Have a lovely day!
I was fortunate enough to be given a mother who made it easy to follow these verses. I visited her two days ago. At 91 her short term memory is missing but she immediately called my name when I walked into the room. And it had been 4 years since I'd seen her. Now that's a mother!
ReplyDeleteI want to thank the blogger very much not only for this post but also for his all previous efforts. ...
