PS TY for your sweet note.
oh my yes - rest - often elusive here but much sought after! Lovely reminders Sandra - bless you and hope this week holds times of productive work and refreshing rest.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed these wise words on "rest" especially on the Sabbath...
ReplyDeleteHello Sandra:
ReplyDeleteSome wonderfully reassuring words on the topic of rest, here, Sandra. However, we cannot help but think that perhaps we should be putting in more work first!!! Unlike you, of whom we have such admiration when it comes to dealing with everything that you have to do, we really are the laziest of tarts, even if we do say that ourselves!!!! Monday to Sunday are days of rest for us!!!
Hoping that you too, dearest Sandra, are finding moments of rest and relaxation just like the adorable Abigail!
Hi Sandra!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your words of rest.
Today we worked in the garden..all day...so it's so good to read this post :o)))!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!!!
Well how do you like that? I am feeling quite lazy this weekend. Haven't done much of anything. And here you go encouraging me to do more of the same! I love it...
ReplyDeleteI so much agree with this. The Sabbath rest is vital to our well being. Love that you quoted Elisabeth Elliot. She's a particular favorite of my husband's.
ReplyDeleteJust what I needed!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could sleep as peacefully as in your picture! I love the quote about rest not being idleness.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL! Thank you, wonderful Thistle!
ReplyDeleteOnce again I'm behind in reading, but as usual I've enjoyed every minute of catching up here at Thistle Cove. Thanks for the peaceful thoughts of todays post!
ReplyDeleteA lovely post, Sandra. God bless you today.
