~ tethered to Him ~
"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider:
God has made the one as well as the other."

"Don't cry because it's over,
smile because it happened."

"For every minute you are angry,
you lose sixty seconds of happiness."

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

"Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own." ~ Robert A. Heinlein ~

"People as just as happy as they make up their minds to be." ~ Abraham Lincoln ~

"Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering 'it will be happier'..."

"Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." ~ Marcel Proust ~

"Success is getting what you want,
happiness is wanting what you get."

"Rules for Happiness -
Something to do
Someone to love
Something to hope for."

"When the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broken into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies."
~ J. M. Barrie ~

"Happiness makes up in height
for what it lacks in length."

"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile." ~ Mother Teresa ~

"God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing." ~ C. S. Lewis ~

  2. I don't have all the answers . . . I don't know why sad and bad things happen . . . I don't know what I think and believe on many days . . .

    I do know I am curious . . . I know I search, quest, embrace . . .

    I know I believe in truth, authentic, gentle, kindness, generous spirit . . . I am what I am . . .

  3. I love all these, but my favorite today is the quote by C.S. Lewis...

And the picture made me catch my breath...it went right along with a scripture that ministered to me last night from Colossians 1:5 in the Message translation -

"The lines of purpose in your lives never grow slack, tightly tied as they are to your future in heaven, kept taut by hope."

Tethered to Him and taut with hope! Praise the Lord!
