Hi Sandra, I spent yesterday with a childhood friend who has spent her life teaching first in public school and now in retirement at Christian school. She has positively affected so many lives and I admire her so much.
I enjoyed these quotes. Praying that you will have a nice week.

  3. I consider myself a lifelong learner and love it! Love the quotes you shared. My husband says you can learn something from everyone you meet. Might not all be good, but you'll learn something. :)

  4. As a teacher myself, I really appreciate all these quotes and scriptures. My prayer is always that I can teach and touch the lives of my students for good and I ask God to guide me. Thank you, my friend. Have a good week!

  5. Sandra, That first proverb about training up a child in the way he should go....I sure hope that is true. My daughter has strayed away from her Christianity big time.

    Have a great week!

  6. "a teacher who loves learning" is one of my
    favorite quotes. my grandmother lived
her entire 90 years learning. sometimes
i get glimpses of her in my heart.

  7. I always thought that because I loved school, loved to learn that I should make a good teacher. I was not. After 6 years of teaching Sunday School to 4-year olds I finally admitted that a good teacher was a breed different from me. But oh how I wished I could have been. I still remember my best teachers fondly.

  9. Karen, Sunday's are generally restful; church, regular chores and holding down the porch -grin-.

Mildred, a good teacher is worth their weight in gold.

Nancy, your husband is a wise man!

Debbie, bless you for teaching; a good teacher is worth their weight in gold!

Charlotte, as did I in my youth but I came home...finally; keep praying!

Lea, I'm still learning and hope never to stop.

Dewena, the best teachers are worth remembering; unfortunately, I remember some of the bad ones as well.

Dori, you are SO kind. The Bible is my first reference point; the rest falls into place.
