Sabbath Keeping

"You will be secure because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety.
You will lie down with no one to make you afraid
and many will court your favor."
"There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with the other, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. We must have felt what it is to die, Morrel, that we may appreciate the enjoyments of life.
"Live then, and be happy, beloved children of my heart, and never forget, that until the day God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these two words: Wait and Hope." ~ Alexandre Dumas ~
"Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering, 'it will be happier'"
"There is a saying in Tibetan, "Tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength.' No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that's our real disaster." ~ Dali Lama XIV ~
"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for." ~ Epicurus
"Hope is a verb with its shirtsleeves rolled up."
"Hope itself is like a star-not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity." ~ Charles H. Spurgeon
"Everything that is done in this world is done by hope."
"Therefore, since we have been justified thorough faith, we have peace with God thorough our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and, character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."

If you'd like a name added to the prayer list, please let me know. Unless otherwise requested, names will remain for one month. Around the world, people are praying.

  6. What a beautiful testimony you have! I have never been married, and had only been in love once. It didn't work out.

But God knows our hearts better than we ever could. He is so close to us, especially in our suffering.

Thank you for sharing what God is doing in your life online. You are an inspiration and an encouragement to this young, single.

God is good. Always. One day we will all be reunited and there will be no end to our happiness and joy.
